Hall of Famer Joe Namath has expressed his belief that no quarterback in NFL history has ever been better than Tom Brady.
The 37-year-old joined Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only signal callers in the league to win four Super Bowls following the New England Patriots' triumph in Super Bowl XLIX.
The former New York Jets quarterback feels that Brady has played at a higher level throughout his career than his fellows, which sets him apart as the best ever to play in the league.
"No-one's ever been better. No-one's ever been better than Tom Brady, I don't believe," Namath told TheMMQB.com. "And I go back to watching the guys earlier in some of the darker days, in the '50s.
"Better than, better than, better than. The best, the best, the best. To each his own. I have a hard time calling anybody in any sport 'the best' because of the changes in the game, certainly, and because of the greats that were ahead of them. But I will say, no-one has ever played the game better than Tom Brady."
Brady has also won two NFL MVP awards during his 15-year career with the Patriots.
