Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson is reportedly willing to accept a three-year, $53m (£34.82m) deal with the team.
The 24-year-old was a key part of the Cavaliers team that reached the NBA Finals last season, and Thompson had been holding out for a five-year max contract.
However, according to ESPN reporter Chris Broussard on Twitter, the versatile big man is willing to accept less money on a shorter deal.
Broussard wrote: "Sources: Tristan Thompson is WILLING to sign a 3-year, $53 million deal with the Cavs. Cavs have not yet agreed to the deal."
Thompson averaged 10.8 rebounds and 9.6 points per game in the NBA playoffs last year.
