AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has been ruled out for four weeks with a thigh strain.
The Brazilian international sustained the injury during Wednesday's draw with Udinese, but Milan general manager Adriano Galliani believes that there may be a fitness problem at the club due to an increasing injury list.
"We have to work out why this boy is now suffering from muscle strains when in 2008 and 2009 he had no problems," said Galliani.
"It's not about being lucky or unlucky. We have 10 to 12 players out so it's difficult for us now. When we get our players back, we will start winning matches."
The Rossoneri are currently in 16th place in Serie A with only two points from their opening three matches.
