Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld has hinted that he could be on his way to the Premier League this summer but said that he is happy to remain in Amsterdam.
The 24-year-old has reportedly been targeted by Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur but said that he will wait to see what offers come in.
The Belgian international said that he wants to follow in the footsteps of compatriots and former Ajax players Thomas Vermaelen and Jan Vertonghen by moving to England.
"Looking at the path [Vermaelen and Vertonghen] made, that is also the path I want to follow," Alderweireld told belgiumsoccer.be.
"Besides that, if no good clubs show up I will remain another year at Ajax.
"The Premier League is indeed the most fantastic league in Europe, but we shall see."
Alderweireld has won 23 caps for his country.
