Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Argentina could line up for Tuesday's World Cup 2022 Qualifying clash with Colombia.

Argentina have no fewer than four suspended players to work without for Tuesday's World Cup 2022 Qualifying clash with an out-of-sorts Colombia.

Nicolas Tagliafico, Nicolas Otamendi, Rodrigo de Paul and Leandro Paredes all picked up bookings in the recent win over Chile that have ruled them out of contention for this battle.

On a brighter note, coach Lionel Scaloni should return from COVID-19 infection alongside Lucas Ocampos, Emiliano Buendia, Guido Rodriguez and Maxi Meza, but Papu Gomez is a doubt with an ankle issue and Alexis Mac Allister recovers from his own infection.

Otamendi's absence at the back opens up a spot for Lucas Martinez Quarta to feature alongside Lisandro Martinez, as Tagliafico's spot on the left is filled by Marcos Acuna.

With potentially none of the midfield three from the Chile win available for Tuesday, Scaloni may be forced into a change of shape, as Giovani Lo Celso and the returning Rodriguez make up the base of the engine room.

Angel Di Maria is unlikely to lose his place on the right, but Ocampos may displace Nicolas Gonzalez on the opposite flank if he is deemed fit enough to feature from the first whistle.

Lautaro Martinez is a shoo-in up top after scoring the winner in his side's most recent encounter, and Angel Correa will hope to fend off competition from Paulo Dybala and Manchester City-bound Julian Alvarez to partner the Inter Milan forward.

Argentina possible starting lineup: E. Martinez; Molina, Martinez Quarta, Li. Martinez, Acuna; Di Maria, Lo Celso, Rodriguez, Ocampos; La. Martinez, A. Correa
