Mikel Arteta could return to Arsenal squad against Stoke City

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that Mikel Arteta could return to the squad for this weekend's Premier League match against Stoke City.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Mikel Arteta could return to the fold this weekend against Stoke City.

The Spaniard has not played a game yet during the 2013-14 campaign due to a thigh injury that he suffered in pre-season, but Wenger has claimed today that Arteta could be named in the squad for Sunday's clash.

"He comes back into full training today," Wenger said in a press conference. "I have to make the decision about him tomorrow morning."

The North London outfit currently sit in second place in the Premier League table, one point behind Liverpool.
