Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted that he still gets nervous when the England squad is announced to see if he has made the cut.
The 19-year-old was called up to Roy Hodgson's squad for Euro 2012 and has been a regular since making his debut against Norway last year.
Oxlade-Chamberlain told The Mirror: "I do get anxious. Every time the squads come out I am always looking to see if I am in and thinking: 'Hopefully I'll make it'.
"I'm never thinking: 'I'm definitely going to be this squad' at all. That will never happen until you are an established player.
"It's never an easy thing to get into a squad like England's anyway. So whenever I do manage it I am very happy."
Oxlade-Chamberlain has made 10 appearances for the Three Lions and has notched two goals in those games.
