Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has revealed that he could have joined Scottish champions Celtic before he signed for the Gunners.
Giroud joined Arsenal from Montpellier in 2012 but Celtic had been interested in the Frenchman. Giroud chose to stay at Montpellier after club president Louis Nicollin asked him whether he wanted to 'play football against Kilmarnock or stay in France'.
"I think Celtic is still a great club. I always wanted to play in the Premier League, a move [to Celtic] might have helped," Giroud told beIN Sport.
"In the end, I think I made the right decision [to stay at Montpellier]."
Giroud has made 125 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 57 goals.
