Isaac Hayden has revealed that he had the chance to join Manchester United before deciding on Arsenal.
The 20-year-old, who is currently at Hull City on a season-long loan, signed for the Arsenal youth team from Southend in 2004.
Hayden says it was a "no-brainer" when he was presented with the choice between the Gunners and United.
"As soon as I got the nod, and the choice between Manchester United and Arsenal, it was an easy decision," Hayden is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"I said 'Drive me there now!' as soon as I knew they were interested. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
"Manchester United were keen but when you're 13 and living in London with your parents, it was a no-brainer."
Hayden has made two appearances for the Arsenal first team.
