Per Mertesacker has claimed that Arsenal can maintain their stellar recent record at Wembley by beating Chelsea in Sunday's Community Shield.
The Gunners, who clinched back-to-back FA Cup titles in May, have graced the famous stadium on five occasions since April 2013 and won on all of them.
Arsene Wenger's side thumped then-Premier League champions Manchester City 3-0 12 months ago to raise the curtain for the 2014-15 campaign.
In 2014, they recovered from a 2-0 deficit to beat Hull City in the FA Cup final, and Mertesacker hopes that Arsenal can thrive on the big stage yet again by making it six wins in a row.
"When we've headed to Wembley in the past, it's generally either been for a semi-final or a final," he told the club's official website.
"There's always been that special tension and we could always handle that pressure. Even at 2-0 down, we always managed to deal with different situations."
The last time Wenger's men faced Chelsea at Wembley was an FA Cup semi-final in 2009, which saw the Blues - who went on to win the trophy - triumph 2-1.
