New Arsenal signing Kieran Tierney has reportedly broken the club's record for the vertical jump during his medical after completing a £25m transfer from Celtic.
The Gunners, who had pursued the young Scot all summer, announced his arrival to the club on deadline day along with the shock transfer of David Luiz.
Arsenal supporters will have to wait until the end of the month before seeing their new right-back in action as Tierney continues to recover from a hernia operation.
However, according to The Mirror, this affliction did not stop Tierney from setting a new benchmark for the standing vertical jump, managing a height of 55cm.
The 22-year-old had initially jumped 50cm off the ground, falling short of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang's record by 4cm, before immediately eclipsing the Gabonese forward with his second attempt.
Arsenal travel to Newcastle United on Sunday for their Premier League opener, with Unai Emery facing an injury headache up front due to Nicolas Pepe being unavailable and Alexandre Lacazette looking like a doubt with an ankle problem.
