Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will likely name an unchanged starting lineup for Tuesday's Premier League showdown with Newcastle United at the Emirates.

The Gunners are still coping without Reiss Nelson (thigh) and Gabriel Jesus (knee) for the time being, but Emile Smith Rowe is edging closer to a return from groin surgery by the day.

The 22-year-old has taken part in a few training sessions recently and may be passed fit to make the bench, but Arteta should continue with the theme of consistency in North London.

William Saliba has not covered himself in glory since the World Cup, as his error allowed Evan Ferguson to score for Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, but the Frenchman will partner Gabriel Magalhaes in front of Aaron Ramsdale as ever.

Oleksandr Zinchenko replaced Kieran Tierney at the Amex and should hold his spot on the left, while Ben White may be tasked with trying to keep Allan Saint-Maximin quiet on the other side.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka remain ever-presents in midfield, while silky captain Martin Odegaard enters Tuesday's game as the Gunners' top Premier League goalscorer with seven strikes this term.

Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah were all on target in the 4-2 win over Brighton, and the latter - who has performed admirably in the absence of Jesus - could now record his 12th goal from his last 12 Emirates starts.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Nketiah
