Arsenal are reportedly making positive strides in contract talks with defender William Saliba.
Despite joining the Gunners in 2019, Saliba is still yet to make a competitive appearance for Mikel Arteta's side, having spent time on loan at St Etienne, Nice and Marseille.
Although Marseille are set to make an offer for the centre-back, Saliba has previously expressed his desire to remain at the Emirates Stadium and fight for his place in the side.
Arteta has also indicated that Saliba will have a role to play in the Arsenal squad for the 2022-23 season.
With Saliba set be included in Arteta's plans next term, according to Chris Wheatley, talks have already begun over an extension to Saliba's current contract, which is set to expire in 2024.
