Arsenal have allegedly placed a £24m bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, only to be left stunned by his wage demands.
The Germany international has asked for £153,000 per week to join the Gunners, amounting to £8m a year, according to 25 Hour Sport.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Arsenal's offer has been accepted, but Khedira's alleged wage demands are expected to be a stumbling block.
Meanwhile, the Premier League side are also said to be on the verge of signing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and pondering a move for Brazil international Bernard.
