Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich reportedly prepare to step up their interest in PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo.

The likes of Arsenal, Barcelona and Liverpool are reportedly all stepping up their interest in PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed a highly productive season with the Eredivisie giants, scoring 16 goals and setting up 15 more in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Gakpo only signed a new deal with PSV in January, with the Netherlands international not due to become a free agent until the end of the 2025-26 season.

However, Gakpo's performances have understandably attracted attention from across Europe, and The Athletic claims that Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are ready to accelerate their pursuits.

The report adds that Gakpo's new deal at PSV does not include a release clause, but reasonable offers - thought to be in the region of £35m or above - will be considered.

Gakpo has amassed a total of 37 goals and 33 assists in 125 matches for PSV since coming through their academy but missed Sunday's win over Fortuna Sittard due to injury.
