Chelsea defender David Luiz could join Arsenal in an £8m deal on transfer deadline day, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sell David Luiz to Arsenal in an £8m deal.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a surprise move for the centre-back over the last few hours.

Luiz is said to have refused to train with Frank Lampard's side on Wednesday as he attempts to force a move to the Emirates Stadium before Thursday's transfer deadline.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea have now agreed to sanction the sale of the 32-year-old, who could cost Unai Emery's side as little as £8m on transfer deadline day.

The report claims that Luiz has been disruptive in the team's build-up to the 2019-20 campaign as he does not feel that Lampard will use him on a regular basis in the coming season.

The Brazil international has made 248 appearances during two separate spells with the Blues.
