Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella rejects claims that the Italian side would feel unsettled if Robin van Persie joins the Serie A club.

Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has revealed that he would welcome Robin van Persie to the Italian side if the Arsenal frontman decides to quit the Premier League after the European Championships.

The Dutchman's future has been up in the air in recent months, with the 28-year-old yet to make a decision on whether to sign a new contract at the Emirates or look for pastures new.

Juventus and Manchester City have been linked with the prolific striker and Quagliarella believes that Van Persie would slot well into the team if the forward opts for a switch to Serie A.

"It's ridiculous to claim that there could be any kind of jealousy within the ranks," Quagliarella told Sky Sports Italia. "If a great player like Van Persie arrives then it is normal that he is given the right contract. In a compact squad like ours, these things don't affect us at all."

Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood recently claimed that Van Persie will leave the club if he is looking for a big-money contract.
