Ronald Koeman confident Morgan Schneiderlin will stay at Southampton

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman reveals that he has yet to receive "a serious bid" for Morgan Schneiderlin, and he expects the midfielder to remain at the club.

Ronald Koeman remains confident that midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will not leave Southampton at the end of the season.

Reports emerged earlier today suggesting that the France international would be allowed to depart St Mary's this summer should the price be right.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be the two clubs interested in signing the 25-year-old, although Koeman expects his star midfielder, who is currently nursing an injury, to stay in place on the South Coast.

Asked if he felt Schneiderlin had played his last game for the club, the Dutchman told reporters: "I don't think so. He has a contract. Nobody has a serious bid.

"It's all about rumours. I can't listen to them all or I'll be crazy. More players will be linked with clubs, it's no problem."

Koeman also revealed that Schneiderlin may return from his injury problem before the end of the season.
