Aston Villa caretaker boss Scott Marshall believes that the club need to recruit a new manager with a strong CV following Paul Lambert's departure.
Following a 10-game winless run, Lambert was sacked by the Premier League outfit, calling an end to a two-and-a-half-year spell.
"This is a big club and it's not somewhere for someone to cut their teeth," Marshall said in today's press conference.
"It's certainly a big club and I would say there's not many things which are going to prepare you for this experience so I think a manager with experience is probably necessary, but it's not really my decision or my call."
Villa dropped into the relegation zone following a 2-0 defeat to Hull City on Tuesday night.
