Enrique Cerezo delighted with Atletico Madrid's summer spending

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo hints that his club's summer spending could now be over.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has revealed that he is very pleased with his side's work in the transfer market this summer.

A squad overhaul at the Vicente Calderon has seen the likes of Jackson Martinez, Luciano Vietto and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco arrive since the transfer window opened.

Cerezo has claimed that Atleti's squad is now "almost complete" ahead of the La Liga kickoff next month.

"Jackson has arrived and the squad is almost complete, all that's left is to play. I think we've put together a great team and I think we've been able to fully cover the players who've left with the players we've brought in," Cerezo told reporters.

Cerezo has also revealed that Atletico are close to re-signing Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis from Chelsea.
