Report: Miranda price set at £19.5m

A report claims that Miranda can leave Atletico Madrid in January for £19.5m.

Atletico Madrid will reportedly sell Brazilian defender Miranda into the Premier League in January if they receive an offer in the region of £19.5m.

The centre-back has been a key part of Atletico's success over the last couple of seasons, but it is understood that Jose Gimenez's emergence at the Vicente Calderon has placed Miranda's future in doubt.

Atletico are not in the strongest financial position despite their title win last season and according to the Daily Star, a figure just short of £20m would be enough to convince the capital side to sanction a move.

Manchester City and Manchester United are both said to be interested, while Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring developments.
