Wolverhampton Wanderers agree personal terms with Diego Costa?

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly agree personal terms with Diego Costa ahead of striking a deal with Atletico Madrid to bring the striker back to the Premier League.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly agreed personal terms with Diego Costa ahead of striking a deal with Atletico Madrid to bring the striker back to the Premier League.

Costa was signed by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2014 and immediately looked comfortable in the Premier League, scoring 20 league goals on route to the title during his first season at the club.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to add reinforcements to his squad ahead of entering Europe next season and has targeted a striker, with West Bromwich Albion's Salomon Rondon reportedly emerging on the club's radar.

According to Globo Esporte, Wolves have struck a personal agreement with Costa and will now have to flesh out a deal with Atletico to complete the Spaniard's transfer.

Costa's future under Diego Simeone is uncertain after Atletico completed the signings of strikers Joao Felix and Alvaro Morata in recent weeks.

The 30-year-old is a client of agent Jorge Mendes, who has close links with Nuno and the club's owners Fosun, alongside a number of current Wolves players.
