Friday night's offering from the Bundesliga sees Augsburg entertain Hamburger SV. Here, Sports Mole previews the encounter.

Hamburger SV had been in good form in the Budesliga following Rafael van der Vaart's decision to rejoin the club from Tottenham Hotspur in August.

However, that streak of positive results was ended by Stuttgart, who claimed a 1-0 victory at Hamburg's expense on Sunday evening.

Looking ahead to Friday's trip to Augsburg, Dutch international Van der Vaart has admitted that he is eager for his side to return to winning ways as soon as possible.

"We need to make up for it straight away at Augsburg on Friday," he told the Bundesliga's official website.

Having appeared from the bench against Stuttgart, reports have claimed that Marcus Berg will lead the line for Hamburg against their Bavarian hosts.

Meanwhile, Augsburg will head into the encounter with just one win from their last five outings. They currently sit 16th in the Bundesliga table.
