Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has hailed Lionel Messi for his performance against Spartak Moscow in Russia on Tuesday.
The Argentine forward scored twice in Moscow to lead the Blaugrana to a 3-0 victory in the Champions League Group G.
"Each and every day, Lionel Messi doesn't fail to surprise with his ambition and his eagerness to win and help out his teammates," said Vilanova. "We always talk about the goals he scores but we also have to say that at a tactical level he's excellent too."
Messi's double at Stadion Luzhniki saw him become the joint-second highest goalscorer in Champions League history with 56 goals.
