Barcelona boss Xavi has named his squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, and there is no place in the selection for Ansu Fati.
The Catalan giants had allegedly been hopeful that the Spain international would be able to recover from his hamstring injury in time for the key European contest in Munich.
However, the attacker has not been able to prove his fitness, while Martin Braithwaite, Pedri, Sergi Roberto and Sergio Aguero are also unavailable for selection at Allianz Arena.
Barcelona have received good news on Gavi, though, with the Spain international included despite suffering a head injury during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Real Betis in La Liga.
Ilias Akhomach is also in the travelling party, with the 17-year-old recently making his La Liga debut for Barcelona against Espanyol.
The Catalan giants are currently second in Group E and would advance to the round of 16 if they beat Bayern, although Xavi's team could lose and still go through if Benfica do not overcome Dynamo Kiev.
Full squad: Ter Stegen, Neto, Pena, Dest, Pique, Araujo, Lenglet, Alba, Mingueza, Umtiti, Eric Garcia, Balde, Busquets, Puig, Coutinho, Frenkie de Jong, Nico, Dembele, Memphis, Demir, Luuk de Jong, Gavi, Akhomach
