Sergio Busquets bemoans Barcelona's injuries

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets reflects on the side's "bad luck" with injuries of late.

Sergio Busquets has conceded that Barcelona have had "bad luck with injuries" this season.

Head coach Luis Enrique was already without the likes of Jordi Alba, Rafinha and Claudio Bravo before confirmation that talisman Lionel Messi would be out for up to eight weeks with a knee problem that he picked up during yesterday's 2-1 win over Las Palmas.

Speaking to the club's official website after that victory at the Camp Nou, Busquets said: "The win is important, but certainly the worst news is the injury to our best player.

"We're having bad luck with injuries and still can't register players [because of the transfer ban]."

Next up for the Catalans is a Champions League group encounter against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening.
