Adrian Lopez: "We must fight until the end"

Atletico Madrid attacker Adrian Lopez looks ahead to Saturday's La Liga title decider against Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid attacker Adrian Lopez has insisted that his side will "fight until the end" in Saturday's La Liga title decider against Barcelona.

Three points against Malaga at the weekend would have secured the title for Atletico, but the capital outfit were held to a 1-1 draw at the Calderon.

Adrian came close to winning it late on when he curled one towards the top corner, but Malaga stopper Willy Caballero made a brilliant save to keep the score level.

"We knew that if we'd won, we would have been champions. That was our goal, but in the end we played to a draw. Now we have to fight until the end. We have a final at Barcelona next Saturday. We must prepare well, we great desire and incredible motivation," Inside Spanish Football quotes the Spaniard as saying.

"It was a shame my goal didn't go in. It was the last shot of the game and it took a very good stop. On scoring chances, we deserved more.

"El Guaje (David Villa) had a few of them, Raul Garcia had another header, sometimes I think we could've won, but in every game in those moments, when you're playing for something for the fans, it's difficult. We must fight until the end."

Atletico will contest the final of the Champions League against Real Madrid on May 24.
