Neymar's father Neymar Santos Sr will not receive a "loyalty" bonus worth £23.4m following the player's exit from Barcelona, the club have announced.
The Brazilian striker completed a world-record, £200m move to Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday, penning a five-year contract that will see him pocket around £537k a week in wages after tax.
Santos Sr was in line to collect a €26m (£23.4m) bonus from Barcelona if his son remained with the club on August 1, but the side have claimed that not all terms of the deal were met.
"The club will not pay the bonus to Neymar's father," a spokesman told Marca.
"There were three conditions: the player must not negotiate his departure from the club during the month before the bonus became payable, he must demonstrate his desire to fulfil his contract, and that we would not pay out the bonus before September 1, to ensure the transfer window was closed.
"Now that we know that none of these three conditions were met, we will not honour that bonus."
Neymar's father has been handling his son's transfer affairs for the entirety of his playing career.
