Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has admitted that his team are 'not playing brilliant football' this season, but "are very happy" with how they have started the 2017-18 campaign.
The Catalan giants have won 10 of their 11 La Liga matches this term, which has left them eight points clear of reigning champions Real Madrid in Spain's top flight.
Ernesto Valverde has overseen a change in style since his arrival, and Busquets has claimed that Barcelona are 'more compact' this season.
"We are enjoying a really good spell of form," Busquets told Marca. "We realise our football is not brilliant or at our best but we are solid and compact. We have made it difficult to score against us and we are very happy.
"We do acknowledge that we have not played brilliantly; we changed our system when an important player left (Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain) and that mean in some areas you are stronger, in others not. Our goal is to be compact and to build a winning team and at the moment we are."
Barcelona have only conceded four times in their 11 league matches this season.
