Pep Guardiola: 'We won't replace David Villa'

Pep Guardiola says that Barcelona will not replace the injured David Villa in January.

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has said that he will not use the transfer window to find a replacement for the injured David Villa.

The Spanish striker broke his shin bone during the recent Club World Cup and is expected to be out for up to five months.

However, Guardiola has claimed that his side will adapt rather than look to bring in a new face at the club.

"We will not go to the market," said the former Barcelona captain.

"We are who we are, and in function of that we will play one way or the other."

Barcelona face Espanyol in the Catalan derby on Sunday.
