Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has revealed his delight after his team recorded a 3-2 win over Valencia on Saturday afternoon courtesy of a stoppage-time penalty from Lionel Messi.
The two teams were locked at 2-2 entering the fourth minute of stoppage time at the Mestalla, but Barcelona secured all the points when Messi netted his second of the match from the penalty spot.
The result has moved the Catalan giants above Sevilla, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid to the top of the table and Suarez, who scored Barcelona's second of the afternoon, has said that late victories are always special.
"We showed why we're one of the title candidates. We fought until the end and this result will give us strength going forward. It feels so much better to have got the win like this," Suarez told Barca TV.
Barcelona will return to league action at home to struggling Granada next weekend.
