Preview: Real Sociedad vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole previews Barcelona's trip to Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday.

Barcelona will remain at the summit of La Liga if they beat Real Sociedad on Saturday.

The Catalan side currently sit joint-top of the standings with 60 points, ahead of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid on goal difference.

Gerardo Martino's side come into this match in fine form, having put six past Rayo Vallecano last weekend before beating Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Sociedad will be looking for a win to boost their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. The hosts currently sit four points adrift of fourth-placed Athletic Bilbao after Monday's 1-0 win over Malaga.

Jagoba Arrasate's side were beaten 3-1 on aggregate by Barca in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey a week ago.

The visitors could be without left-back Jordi Alba after he suffered a hamstring injury in the win over City. Adriano will come into the side should the Spain international fail to recover in time.

Arrasate has no fresh injury concerns and could name the same Sociedad team that beat Malaga.
