Barcelona want Marquinhos in January?

A report claims that Barcelona want to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian defender Marquinhos in the January transfer window.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique will reportedly press ahead with a move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian international has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days, with the Premier League champions believed to be keen on freshening their back-line when the winter window opens.

Barcelona, however, are also said to be targeting reinforcements at the back, with Aymeric Laporte and Jose Gimenez both linked with a move.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Marquinhos, 21, is seen as the cheaper option out of all their targets and the Catalan club will press ahead with a bid in January.

Marquinhos, who can play either right-back or in the centre of defence, joined PSG from Roma in 2013.
