Barcelona are open to goalkeeper Inaki Pena leaving the club on loan at the start of 2022, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly open to goalkeeper Inaki Pena leaving the club on loan at the start of 2022.

The 22-year-old was linked with a number of clubs over the summer, but Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury meant that he was prevented the chance to join another team.

Pena has been on the bench for nine of Barcelona's 10 games in all competitions this season but is still waiting to make his first-team debut for the Catalan giants.

According to Sport, Ronald Koeman's side are willing to let the stopper leave in January in order to secure regular football in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign.

Pena spent time with Alicante and Villarreal during his youth career before arriving at Camp Nou, and he has made 56 appearances for Barcelona B during his time at the club.

The Spaniard is allegedly keen to remain in La Liga, and a number of top-flight clubs are believed to have shown an interest in his services.
