Julian Araujo's proposed deal to Barcelona could reportedly fall through after paperwork failed to be completed in time.
Araujo looked set to complete a move to Barcelona from Los Angeles Galaxy on deadline day, after the two clubs reached an agreement over a transfer, with the fee believed to be €4m (£3.5m).
The deal was originally believed to be a loan with an option to buy, but Araujo was poised to join on a permanent transfer.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer is in doubt after documentation arrived less than a minute after the transfer window shut.
As a result, a decision will be made today to establish whether Araujo is eligible to sign for the Catalan giants.

In a separate report, Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona will try to consult FIFA over the situation, as they attempt to get the deal over the line.
If the La Liga club are able to complete the deal, Araujo will sign a contract until June 2026, and he will subsequently join up with the Barcelona 'B' team.
Araujo could be set to leave LA Galaxy after 109 appearances, where he has contributed with two goals and 14 assists.
In an interview with 90min in August 2022, the Mexico international has spoken of his desire to play in Europe.
"I definitely want to go to Europe," Araujo said. "It's my dream, my goal is to go to Europe. I want to reach my highest potential and I feel like going to Europe is going to help me do that."

The 21-year-old will also provide cover for the first-team, who currently have Jules Kounde, Sergi Roberto and Ronald Araujo as their right-back options.
The Catalans did offload a right-sided defender on the final day of the transfer window after Hector Bellerin completed a move to Sporting Lisbon.
Bellerin only joined Xavi's side from Arsenal last summer, but he failed to force his way into the side, making only seven appearances for the club.
Barcelona will attempt to extend their five-point lead at the top of the La Liga table when they face Real Betis on Wednesday evening.
