Javier Mascherano commits future to Barcelona

Barcelona centre-back Javier Mascherano commits his long-term future to the Spanish outfit, claiming that he wants to remain at Camp Nou "for many more years".

Javier Mascherano has revealed that he wants to stay at Barcelona "for many more years".

At the end of the 2015-16 campaign, the central defender suggested that he could move on this summer amid talk of interest from Italian champions Juventus.

However, the Argentine international has now insisted that he wants to remain at Camp Nou as he prepares for the 2016-17 campaign with the Spanish giants.

"I hope to be at Barcelona for many more years. I hope [2016-17] is a great season. I always start a new season with great enthusiasm. Hopefully it's our best one yet," Marca quotes Mascherano as saying.

Mascherano is reportedly considering his future with the Argentine national team following their loss in the Copa America final last month.
