Neymar to sign new five-year deal at Barcelona in "next few days"

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu reveals that Neymar will sign a new five-year contract in the "next few days".

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has quelled rumours surrounding Neymar's future by revealing that the Brazilian will sign a new five-year contract in the "next few days".

The 24-year-old has been linked with big-money moves to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalan giants have been in talks with Neymar for some time regarding fresh terms, and it appears that negotiations are reaching a conclusion.

According to The Mirror, Barcelona are planning to make it harder for rival clubs to poach their star attacker by increasing Neymar's release clause to around €230m (£190.2m).

In a press conference on Friday, Bartomeu told reporters: "Neymar doesn't want to leave Barca and in the next few days we'll confirm that he is going to stay for five more years."

The Brazil captain joined Barcelona from Santos in 2013.
