Nolito dismisses Barcelona rumours

Celta Vigo forward Nolito denies any knowledge of interest from Barcelona, but admits that he would jump at the chance to join Luis Enrique's side.

Celta Vigo forward Nolito has rubbished reports of a potential move to Barcelona, but has admitted that he would jump at the chance to join the Spanish champions.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Camp Nou in recent months, following a string of impressive displays at his club.

"I never had the option of moving to Barcelona," he told Faro de Vigo. "When people say so many things and they assumed I was going to Barcelona, I had to go out and talk.

"Neither my agent, me or anyone at Celta called. I said if the club came to get me, I would go.

"If Barcelona come after me they have to speak with Celta. I'm focused on playing and I'm not aware of what will happen at Christmas."

Nolito, who has won two caps for Spain, previously spent four years playing for Barcelona and their reserve team.
