Report: Aymeric Laporte wants Barcelona move

A report claims that Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte wants to join Barcelona this summer.

Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte is reportedly keen on joining Barcelona this summer.

The Frenchman, 19, is widely regarded as one of the best young centre-backs in European football, with his performances over the last 12 months drawing a host of interest.

Laporte hinted last week that he wants to remain with Bilbao next season, but according to Sport, the defender's head could be turned by a wage hike with the Catalan outfit.

It is understood that Laporte's buy-out clause is in the region of £29m, which Bilbao would demand in order to sanction a sale.

Bayern Munich are also believed to be monitoring proceedings.
