Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies has revealed that he is targeting a return to the Premier League in the near future.
Davies was the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs during the January transfer window, and after a move failed to materialise, he has acknowledged that he will need to keep performing for Birmingham if he is to attract more admirers during the summer.
The 28-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "I can't lie to you or anyone, I want to play in the Premier League and it would be wrong if I said I didn't.
"The club stance in January, we were told we had to sell someone and I was always relaxed about it. I knew Jack Butland's move was imminent and I wouldn't have been sold anyway. I didn't worry myself too much.
"When things happen at the last minute you never know, but I was always concentrating on here. If you are doing well, playing well, then clubs are going to be interested in you. There's nothing new in that. But if nothing happens, nothing happens."
The former West Bromwich Albion defender has made 36 appearances for Birmingham this season.
