Barry Ferguson has revealed that Freddy Adu will not be signing for Blackpool.
The midfielder had been training with the Championship club with a view to earning a permanent contract.
However, Ferguson has confirmed that the Seasiders will not be taking their interest any further.
"We gave Freddy the facility to come in and train and he's played a few games, but I'm strong enough in that position," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
Adu, 24, has had spells with Benfica and Monaco since making his debut for DC United as a 14-year-old back in 2004.
