Neil Lennon warns senior players after Watford defeat

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon warns his senior players to improve or find a new club following their 4-3 defeat at home to Watford in the Championship.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has sent out a firm warning to the senior members of his team after they lost 4-3 at home to Watford this afternoon.

Troy Deeney snatched the points for the Hornets late in the game and Lennon has told his senior players to improve their performances or find a new club.

He told reporters: "It takes away all the positivity we should be talking about because we were brilliant and I think the supporters appreciated that. We could have scored seven. It is no consolation to me though because I want to win.

"I have got to get it through to these players that if they are not going to come with us, they are going to have to find employment elsewhere. It may sound harsh but that's the reality of football.

"We did brilliantly to get back to 3-3, we were attacking and five seconds [later] the ball is in our net. It is not good enough at any level."

Bolton sit 15th in the Championship table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
