Borussia Monchengladbach 'replace Granit Xhaka with Christoph Kramer'

Borussia Monchengladbach reportedly replace Arsenal-bound Granit Xhaka with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer.

Borussia Monchengladbach have reportedly agreed to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer as Granit Xhaka's replacement.

The German outfit have been in the market for a defensive midfielder following Xhaka's move to Arsenal last month.

The 25-year-old, who was part of Germany's World Cup-winning campaign in Brazil two years ago, has agreed a permanent deal with Monchengladbach, according to The Mirror.

Kramer, who spent two years on loan at Monchengladbach between 2013 and 2015, made 42 appearances for Leverkusen in the 2015-16 campaign.
