Half-Time Report: Matty Fryatt breaks deadlock against Brighton & Hove Albion

Matty Fryatt scores just before the break to earn a 1-0 lead for Sheffield Wednesday against Brighton & Hove Albion.

A goal just before the interval from Matty Fryatt has given Sheffield Wednesday a 1-0 lead over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leonardo Ulloa had a great chance to mark his return from suspension with an early goal but his close-range effort was saved by Chris Kirkland.

Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton made a vital block just moments later to deny Andrew Crofts following good work by Inigo Calderon.

Crofts was once again on the end of a flowing move from the hosts but Kirkland responded well to block a firm shot on goal.

Fryatt found the first goal of the game in the 43rd minute when he turned his marker in the box before slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
