Ronny Deila calls for 'Celtic heart' in Champions League qualifier

Celtic manager Ronny Deila wants to see more "commitment and desire" from his side in tomorrow night's Champions League qualifier against Legia Warsaw.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has urged his side to show greater "commitment and desire" when they take on Legia Warsaw in the second leg of their third-round Champions League qualifier tomorrow night.

The Scottish champions face an uphill battle to make it into the group stages having been comfortably beaten in last week's first leg in Poland.

Deila insists that the Bhoys can still overturn the three-goal deficit, but admits that they must improve greatly on their last showing.

"I want to see more enjoyment and energy on the pitch. That's what I want to see tomorrow: commitment and desire to win; desire to fight for each other and to be a team. Somebody told me to have a 'Celtic Heart'. I think that is a fantastic expression - everybody is feeling free and just wanting to attack which there was a lack of in the game in Warsaw," he told reporters.

"But two things we need to improve, the defending and we can't lose the ball in dangerous areas, like we did last week. If we do that we will make more chances and we know that we can score goals, this team has done it many times, score three and more. We go out to attack every time at home and we will do that tomorrow but we need to do that with defending as well. It is important to be patient.

"But first of all, I am looking for revenge for what we saw last Wednesday. I want to see a compact, good team who works together and really enjoys playing football. Start with that and if we get a goal in the first half then we have a chance."

Tomorrow's encounter will take place at Murrayfield and is scheduled for a 7.45pm kickoff.
