Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is believed to be keen on signing Liverpool youngster Pedro Chirivella.
The 21-year-old, who is currently part of the Reds' academy, worked with Rodgers during the Northern Irishman's time on Merseyside.
According to Goal.com, the Celtic boss will make an enquiry about Chirivella's availability with a view to signing the Spaniard on a permanent deal.
The source adds that Celtic are confident of bringing in the youngster for around £3.5m, which will be similar to an unsuccessful fee lodged by Rosenborg earlier in the transfer window.
Chirivella, who signed for the Reds in 2015, has made 48 appearances in the Eredivisie during two loan spells to the Netherlands.
