Celtic forward Scott Sinclair wants "world-class" Steven Gerrard to move to the Scottish champions after it was confirmed that the former England captain had brought to an end his Los Angeles Galaxy career.
The 36-year-old decided against extending his stay in the MLS for another year and will depart Galaxy having scored five goals in 34 appearances for the club.
Celtic have been credited with an interest in the midfielder, who has been tipped to continue as a player, and Sinclair has said that it "would be unbelievable" if Gerrard moved to Scotland.
"It'd be a massive thing if he did come here, that would be unbelievable," Sinclair told reporters. "I think the fans would take to him and it'd be a massive deal in football. He's a world-class player so I'm sure that a lot of players would learn from him."
Gerrard has also been linked with a return to Liverpool as part of Jurgen Klopp's backroom staff.
