Charlton Athletic boss Chris Powell admits Yann Kermorgant red card "moment of madness".

Charlton Athletic boss Chris Powell has admitted that Yann Kermorgant's sending off was a pure "moment of madness".

The Addicks succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at The Valley as Radoslaw Majewski and Henri Lansbury found the net.

Powell told the club's official website: "I've seen it now and it was definitely a sending off.

"At the time I wasn't sure; I thought it was a coming together, but it was a sending off.It was just the red mist. I think it was just a moment of madness from Yann."

Charlton are in 14th in the Championship following their defeat.
