Didier Drogba: 'Difficult to face Chelsea'

Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba admits that he will find it "difficult" to face former club Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba has admitted that he will find it "difficult" to face former club Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Drogba will return to Stamford Bridge as a player for the first time since ending his eight-year spell at the club when Galatasaray take on Chelsea in the second leg of their last-16 tie tomorrow night.

The 36-year-old, who has been linked with a coaching role at the London club, admitted that he would not celebrate if he scored the winning goal, but insisted that he would do everything he could to help Galatasaray progress.

"With all the respect that I have for this club, for the fans and for the players, I might not celebrate, but if we win I'll be happy. I'm really happy to come back and to see some familiar faces," Drogba told reporters.

"It's a big game. The Champions League is a big competition and it means a lot for my team. I'll find a way to play. It's very difficult to play against Chelsea, but it's not going to be difficult for me to put myself into the competition mode. Now I belong to Galatasaray. I need to be professional.

"Of course there will be emotions. Like the first leg to see my ex-teammates and also the Chelsea fans in the stadium was special. But then there was the game and the game as you could see was tough, was good, with high intensity. I think it's going to be the same tomorrow."

The tie is finely poised after the two teams drew 1-1 in the first leg last month.
