The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.
The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Wednesday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea 'given August 28 Kai Havertz deadline'
Chelsea have reportedly been told by Bayer Leverkusen to wrap up a deal for Kai Havertz by August 28.
The Blues have been tipped to move for the highly-rated attacker for some time, and Chelsea's pursuit of Havertz is expected to gather pace following Leverkusen's exit from the Europa League.
Havertz himself is believed to be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, where he would link up with fellow attacking stars Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, with Leverkusen eager to end the protracted transfer saga before they report for pre-season, Bild reports that the Bundesliga outfit want a deal done in less than a fortnight's time.
Chelsea and Leverkusen supposedly remain apart in their valuation of the 21-year-old, though, with the Blues looking to strike a deal for £70m while Leverkusen are refusing to budge on their £90m asking price.
The Germany international enjoyed a stellar 2019-20 season with Leverkusen, registering 18 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
Willian 'had no intention of leaving Chelsea'
Willian reportedly had little interest in leaving Chelsea until it became apparent that he would not receive a new three-year deal.
Last week, Arsenal confirmed that they had won the race to sign the 32-year-old on a free transfer after his exit from Stamford Bridge.
However, according to ESPN, the Brazilian pushed hard to convince Chelsea officials to meet his contractual demands.
Willian had made no secret of his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge, providing that he was given terms which lasted past 2022.
Nevertheless, it is claimed that the playmaker was left feeling "discredited" after Chelsea failed to reward him for an impressive seven-year stint in West London.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are said to have also made an offer for Willian's services.
